The gate at Herzeliya airport looks daunting, and it is. Two guards are posted at this gate. One came up to the car and asked us for our documents, and the reason that we came to the airport. The other one stayed in the safety of the booth. Both Leah and Aviva showed their Israeli documents - I showed my Canadian Passport and Pilot License. It took us 20 minutes to get through this gate to get to the plane that I had rented.
